Is Getting a Keratin Hair Treatment a GOOD IDEA?

I recently (a month ago) have gotten a Keratin Hair treatment and so this post comes as a reference to my own experience. If you are reading this you may have been thinking of getting it too so here is my input on it.

Firstly, I have blond damaged hair. I am usually styling it by using iron or curling wands, so you can imagine the main reason why my hair got so damaged over the years. I have decided to give keratin treatment a try, hoping that I would quit using heat products as often as I did on my hair.

What does a keratin treatment actually do? Keratin treatments fill in the porosity of your hair, as overly-porous hair causes tangles, frizz, and breakage. Your hair is made up of keratin, so the treatment is putting the protein back into the hair, which is often lost due to age and chemical services.

Did the Keratin treatment do what it says?  YES! I can’t stress enough how smooth my hair is now. I love how my hair looks; healthy, straight and shiny.

Would I recommend it? Definitely.

What Products do I use to wash my hair? As you might probably know, its best to use products that are sulphate and paraben free. I am currently using one from Wella, Shampoo and conditioner and I definitely recommend it even if you do not have a keratin treatment on your hair.

Here is what I use — Wella Elements wella-elements-1050x700

Lastly before I forget, there is actually one downside to having this treatment on your hair and that it gets oily more often then it did before. However, I don’t mind washing my hair more often and only using a hair dryer for my hair to be straight as it takes less time styling my hair and as a result less damage done to the hair.

What else can I wish for RIGHT? 🙂

Here is a Before and After👆
Have you tried Keratin treatments? If so, thoughts?
